Finish 01 of 06
Marmorino and textured
Layered lime plaster worked by hand. Smooth, pitted, dragged or carved, in any colour.
What it is
The finish, explained.
Marmorino is the classic venetian plaster: lime and marble dust, trowelled on in thin layers and burnished until it has depth you can see into. We work in Marmorino Classico, KS and velvet grades, and build textures from a soft suede to a heavy pitted drag.

- Breathable, natural, lime based
- Sealed so it can be wiped down
- Three to four days for a typical wall
Where it suits
- Media walls and feature walls
- Hallways and stairwells
- Whole rooms in a soft, chalky tone
- Marble effect panels with gold leaf
Typical timing

Questions
Before you book.
How much does a venetian plaster wall cost?
Every wall is priced on its size, the finish and the detail in the design, so there is no flat rate. Send a photo of the wall with rough measurements and you will usually get an estimate the same day, without a visit.
How long does a wall take?
Most feature walls take three to four days depending on the size and the finish, because the plaster goes on in layers and each one needs to cure before the next. Bigger rooms, ceilings and commercial jobs take longer and we tell you upfront.
Can you match a colour or a picture I have seen?
Yes. Most projects start from a photo the client found or a colour already in the room. Finishes are mixed to order and there are hundreds of colours, so the design is made for your space, not pulled off a shelf.
Does venetian plaster mark or chip?
Once sealed it is tougher than paint and wipes clean. Polished and microcement finishes are the hardest wearing. We tell you how to look after each finish before we leave.
